Every time we visit El Salvador, we take our son here. For $2.50, there is practically an entire day's worth of activities for children and even teens. Kids can learn about electricity, run a grocery store, visit a butterfly conservatory, play in an airplane cockpit, fly massive bubbles, and much more. for an extra dollar the kids can get into the planetarium. One of the best kids' places I've seen, anywhere.

It's a must visit if you go with a under 10 years old children that is going to enjoy a lot all the things there are. There's an airplane, train, "gravity house" among a lot of things there are for children. I recommend to go in the morning because it feels more "alive" because children from school go at that time.

My children really enjoyed Tin Marin. All the educational signs are in spanish but there are hands on things for them to do. My daughters painted a volks wagon beetle with hand paint. They played in the grocery store. There is a butterfly sanctuary. It's a really neat place. There is also a Papa Johns pizza in the building.

Our children have been three times and still get excited about another trip. Some of the exhibits are broken and still haven't been repaired. It does get hot so go early in the morning. The butterfly garden has beautiful huge butterflies, and the gravity house is fun if sickening. The bubble world in the yard where you can make giant bubbles is fun.

This museum/playing ground is located in a park and is dedicated to children. Their motto is forbidden not to touch so kid can really have a full experience. They also organise events and performances sometimes

Great children's museum. Compared to other children's museum that we have visited, this one had tons of activities for the kids. During our vacations, we visited the museum twice. Our kids loved this place!! We spent 4-5 hours playing learning thru all the different stations they have. One of my favorites was the bubble station (make sure to ask its location. It's in the back of the museum and not well visible). One could make huge bubbles and they even had a machine that you could get inside a bubble. My kids love the supermarket where they could shop and even pretend to be the cashier. They also had another station like the "mercado" where you could pretend to sell pupusas or be a fashion designer. My kids also like the TV station where they had a real video camera and they pretended to be news cast and could see themselves in the TV. They had a special show of dinosaurs and that was also very cool and nicely done. Highly recommend this place!! We look forward to go again in our next visit.

Excellent place for the whole family. We have a five and an eight-year-old and they cried when we had to leave, they liked it that much! This place is huge, clean and only three dollars to get in.

The Tin Marin museum I would compare to the SF Exploratorium but on a much smaller scale. Built for elementary schools to give kids and introduction to science. I have taken my kids several times and they always enjoy but I would think that it would be a decent local experience for smaller/younger children from more developed countries like the US.
