This is a small retreat with a clean atmosphere. Great food and ice cream vendors. The slides and attractions can only be accessed by children. The park has clear rules of no outside
food or jeans. There is no re-entry. Yet with teenagers we went and enjoyed ourselves in the cool water and relaxed in the spray of the water slides.

There is a price to park and a price to enter the water park. $3 parking and $2 entrance. Taxi is the best way to use public transportation. Or you can walk from the National government buildings by the cathedral.

Great waterpark, centrally located, for families. Great for kids! Lots of slides etc. Snacks and drinks available on-site. BATHING SUIT WARNING: BIKINIS NOT REALLY WORN HERE!! Nicaraguans dress more modestly in the pool, so while bikinis are allowed, nobody wears them and I would recommend to avoid them as to not feel uncomfortable.

One block north from the old cathedral on the shores of Lake Managua. Not to be confused with Puerto Allende park which is towards the northwest. The Parque Acuatico is gated, well supervised and a safe place for children and tourists. Most of the visitors are locals who like the Disney-like entertainment spots. There is an interesting miniature town with main buildings in Managua (partly buildings that no longer exist). You can also visit the inside of a plane. The motto of the park seems to be peace and unity: Christian and Socialist solidarity.
Nice views on Lake Managua and the mountains surrounding it. Often there is a pleasant breeze.
