There are many things to see and do here! Get your cameras/phones ready! The old catedral, museum, government building that used to be the residence of the president and his family, statues, monuments , etc can all be seen here.

During my visit there are several Christmas decorations on display. They will be more beautiful in the evening when they are lighted up.

Note: It was very hot during our visit around 11:00 am. Have your hats and sunglasses ready to protect yourself from the sun/heat.

I love this place. However, by visiting this place you are contributing to the the regime of Ortega-Murillo, and participating of the "everything is ok in Nicaragua" that they want to sell.

- In between lake at N. & Park & Sq. at S. ... Can find a little of People in the Morning appear at Night.
- Difficult to walk due no (Streets Name Signage like Panama City.pa) ... A little are Walking & Public Bus have the cheapest Ticket in the world (I think that) = Fixed Price = NIC 2.5 less than 0.1 USD
- Not Important ... Limit Attractions ... Like all Central America (Except maybe Costa Rica).
- The People of Country are V.G.: You can go to see or same catogory like the people in: US + S.E. Asia + East EU

It's an okay place for a short visit and the buildings on the square are somewhat interesting. There is also a memorial park to the Sandinista heroes on the west side. Parking is very easy and there is a big and free lot on the east side right beside the Palace of Culture.

If you're in the city, you must visit here. Not particularly magnificent but a great deal of history.

At night, the Plaza is lighted and you can easily park and walk around. See the Cathedral, the Museum and enjoy just being there.

The Plaza is home to the wrecked but beautiful cathedral, the former National Assembly building, and a memorial to heroes of the revolution. It is a worthy, of quick stop, on a city tour of Managua.
