Touted as a great gallery with local crafts, this shop has interesting pieces but very little stock. There are better shops in Casco Viejo with more interesting items (eg-La Reprosa)

Some of the best original Kuna Yala embroidery and other handicrafts you can find in Panama City. They also have some African art and craftds with unique designs. We read about this place in several gjuide books before we left. The store did not disappoint.

Excellent selection of Panama's quintessential crafts. Good quality. While I was there, they were negotiating with two Indian women over their molas and the conversation seemed respectful and congenial. I always worry about exploitation of local craftspeople and Karavan has a good reputation.

After reading good reviews, we made a special effort to go to this shop. The sales person barely said hello. They had a few pillows and a few paintings. One watercolor painting even had mold under the glass. In my opinion, I wouldn't even call it a "gallery". There are many other nicer shops in the area so I wouldn't... More

We purchased a beautiful painting that reminds us each day of the Casco and Karavan gallery. The boutique had paintings by local artists, and cushion covers and trinkets made by the Kona Indian women dressed up in their beautiful, colorful costumes and intricately beaded hand and footwear.

Not your typical shop catered to tourists, but handmade, authentic, beautiful crafts. Be sure to have the address handy because taxi drivers have no idea what you are talking about if you just give the name of this shop

After a month of traveling through Central America looking for authentic, quality hand crafts with soul - I finally found Karavan Gallery. If I could have bought everything in here I would have. Not full of cookie cutter crafts that you see at all the "artisan" stands. Karavan has truly unique, beautiful good at a great range of prices. Many... More
