This is a bit out of the way on the Causeway but worth a taxi ride. There is a small area of forest / bush in which you can usually find sloths and iguanas. There are some birds but not many when we were there...More

Not too great. They have sea turtles living in a very small tank. They have a beach which your not allowed to walk on. Good bathrooms though, I have to give them that.

I would pretty much echo what AClark625 said - a nice walk along a peninsula and the highlights were seeing a couple of sloths and iguanas. The exhibits seemed designed primarily to be educational for small children and seemed dated and a bit lame.

Our tour guide, Kevin, included this on our City tour after we had lunch nearby. The attractions are rather limited (a small aquarium, a couple of small pools with starfish, turtles, etc.,) but it's walking around and seeing the sloths in the trees. You have...More

We were on a tour and apparently running late because once we reached the institute we had no time to actually see the frogs. The guides were all young and we really couldn't hear them well. They were very proud of the work done there...More

We really enjoyed our time spend at this sympathic place. It might not show spectacular but what the Smithsonian is able to achieve on its rather limited premisis is quite impressive. We enjoyed the guided presentation on frogs and amphibians, the aquaria with coral reef...More

A small park on one of the islands at the end of the Amador Causeway. Part of the Smithsonian institution research. Natural bush where we saw 3 sloths and a few Iguanas while walking around. Went into the frog display. Played with starfish. Saw turtles...More

After checking their website we took a taxi out to the museum which sounded promising. When we arrived a guard told us that it was closed for a week. Apparently no one bothered to update the website which is really annoying especially since the location...More
