We visited just to view the market and also the great view of the fishing boats against the city skyscrapers.
It's interesting to see all the raw wonderful seafood. (Panama has great seafood) the views are good and it's a colourful area.

As a place to shop, it seems OK, but compared to markets in many other cities, it's not especially interesting. The market is clean and organized but small and without the colorful variety and exciting "action" of other markets.

Similar to other fish markets in the world, this is where the locals and restaurants go to buy fish that was caught only a few hours earlier. We enjoyed watching the vendors prepare their fish, and the locals negotiating their buys.
