After perusing the stalls, we decided upon Ceviche Loco. To begin with, the waiter was very nice and helpful and lured us with two free beers and some free ceviche. The ceviche was ok, but nothing special and we have had much better in Bocas...More

We visited just to view the market and also the great view of the fishing boats against the city skyscrapers. It's interesting to see all the raw wonderful seafood. (Panama has great seafood) the views are good and it's a colourful area. The only down...More

When you only aim to eat there, not worth the trip. Very pushy waiters fighting for your attention. Prices at the restaurants are cheap (11-14 dollars formost plates), the quality of the food is similarly low. We received a badly undercooked fish, which tasted like...More

As a place to shop, it seems OK, but compared to markets in many other cities, it's not especially interesting. The market is clean and organized but small and without the colorful variety and exciting "action" of other markets.

This area has three sections - a multi-restaurant area on the marine side (this is where all the hassle from vendors takes place), an area behind this where fish for the restaurants is prepared, and some low key trading seems to take place - and...More

Similar to other fish markets in the world, this is where the locals and restaurants go to buy fish that was caught only a few hours earlier. We enjoyed watching the vendors prepare their fish, and the locals negotiating their buys.

The building is under renovation so the market is in the work area behind the food stalls. THIS IS A REAL LIVE FISH MARKET. Fresh fish with all the smell and mess that goes with it. The fleet comes in and unloads the freshest seafood...More

Eating at the fish market is definitely an interesting experience. The view is not the most appealing and the touts are pushy, but the ceviche is fresh, the prices are low and the service is decent. The restaurant area is crowded with locals and the...More
