Panama City is a city with a lot of inequality and sometimes you have to drive through a very poor quarter in order to reach your destination. But I think that visitinh the Canal is worth the trip. We also visited the Amador Causeway, that is very beautiful, and Casco Viejo, which I found was the best of the whole trip.

Watch enormous container ships from parkland or the colourful Biomuseo before making your way to the excellent fish restaurants on the islands at the end of the causeway.

The causeway, built from the rock dug out of the Culebra Cut, is now a string of parkland, restaurants and new hotels. Walk, bike or ride out to the stunning Biodiversity Museum.

Although glaring obvious, this is a bit of a hidden gem that I discovered on the last day of my 5-day trip to Panama City. The BioMuseo (amazing natural history museum ) is the first thing you encounter when approaching this causeway. There are plenty of restaurants and random tourist attractions for kids. You'll find the largest concentration of ice cream, yogurt, and smoothie shops anywhere in Panama City.

The best thing in Panama in 12 days in November 22. The biggest eain what I have seen in 72 years. It was built by Americans before First World War. Also BioMuseun by Frank Gehry, but open just weekends.

For the rich and famous mega yachts every where food is average and expensive but there's a duty Free store. You need a car or taxi to get there.

This is probably the best thing to do for tourists within the city limits. My sister and i chose to rent bikes and ride the length of the Amador in the evening hours when it was cool out. The views are stunning. Probably the best park in the city, and seems popular with locals who were our walking, biking, and jogging.

The Amador Causeway is a long, long stretch of road with the Pacific sea on either side and a stunning view of the old and new cities of Panama. Towards the start and the end there are some good eateries and restaurants. It was a nice place to walk along in the sea breeze.

Is there any wifi available out on the Causeway to get an Uber back to the city?

To my knowledge there's not general wi-fi available on the Causeway, but I'm sure you could always use the wifi of the restaurant - perhaps at most you may be asked to order something. Hope that helps! Enjoy Panama - it's a beautiful and amazing country to visit!

We are staying at Dreams Playa Bonita. How far is it to the Amador causeway from there? Can we take Uber? How much does the bike rentals cost?

Uber is cheap but be careful that the driver doesn't try to scam you. I rented a two person bike and it was $10 an hour.

They said it is in the final stages and in 6 - 8 months the cruise ships and aircraft carriers should be travelling through.

Will most likely be staying at Country Inn @ Panama Canal and was wondering where I can rent bikes or 3-4 person bikes and ride to the end of the Causeway. How much are the rentals and can we rent them late afternoon and return after dinner?
