I had a great time here,it's not just about tabasco but they have massive gardens that you can drive through and it is beautiful and also has loads of wildlife. These gardens are large and can easily spend a few hours going through them. I'd highly recommend this,it was more than I expected as I was dubious at beginning bit... More

Hubby and I took our 3 boys here while visiting Avery Island. What a great spot! We got to see how Tabasco is made. The country store was fantastic! Kids got to try ice cream and Coke infused with Tabasco. It was a self led tour so you can go at your own pace.

We visited on a recent Saturday driving from the west we ended up on a CLOSED road. I guess the locals don't like the traffic through their neighborhood. Anyway once we got there it was worth the effort. The people in the store and the ticket booth were super friendly and helpful. The factory was not in operation on the... More

My wife and I live in New Orleans and decided to take a day trip to Avery Island to go to the Tabasco factory. We had a great time on the self-guided tour, which includes the museum and several stops to see different steps in the Tabasco-making process. We also drove through the nearby gardens, which were impressive. We saw... More

There is more to that little red bottle of sauce than you know. But you can find out all about it here. Quite interesting!

This is a must-see if you are in the area! To learn the story behind Tabasco sauce was simply fascinating! The family behind this is amazing. Besides touring the factory itself, there is a restaurant and a great store on site. We were able to try every brand of Tabasco sauce and other Tabasco specialties. I would recommend this tour... repetitive. would have liked to have seen more of the growing fields. Best part is the gift shop and that is not good.

Informative fun self guided tour taking you through the history, production and marketing of such a well known product. Well laid out & easy to follow. Of course it all ends at the General Store where you can literally buy anything & everything Tabasco.

It was nice to go on a self guided tour as it gave us plenty of time to read all of the information and watch the videos as we moved through different parts of the process of making Tabasco Sauce. Also nice to see a family run company that has been able to stand on its own against the giant... More
