We took my niece and her kids to tour the Naval academy in December; luckily for us the weather was pretty good. The tour guide was extremely knowledgable and really enjoyed talking and sharing his experiences. This was a beautiful campus and we really enjoyed the brief movie in the beginning that set the stage and the life of the... More

It's a beautiful place to visit. You can walk around the place and get into places, museums and learn about them. The entrance is free. Enjoy it.

Our guide was very knowledgeable about the naval academy and willing to answer questions. Tour took about 1 1/2 hours. Highly recommend.

We checked out the naval base on a Friday afternoon, got there just in time to see the cadets line up in formations and the band play before they go in for lunch. Was entertaining, but what a ton of people were there to see the same thing! Who knew? We then walked around the school and checked out some... More

The Naval Academy is first and foremost a college. It does have a maritime museum onsite, and is good for interesting monuments and buildings. If you are visiting the area, and have a few hours to kill in a pleasant environment, it is great and is a few blocks from Historic Annapolis. Again, think of it as a college campus... More

Initially we weren't going to enter the academy as we don't usually walk around with our passports on us once we arrive. However, we went back the next day and it was well worth the effort. The campus is incredible with so many things to see and do. Loads of history, fascinating tours, wonderful to watch the lunch time ceremony,... More

First Let me say anyone visiting Annapolis should take the tour of the Naval Academy. With that being said, it should be noted that there is absolutely no visitor parking at the Naval Academy. Street parking in Annapolis is very limited and meters only allow 2-hours. There are a couple of parking garages within a half-mile walk of the Visitors... More

Well worth a visit while in Annapolis! The architecture of all the buildings is beautiful. The tour is informative and worth the cost of the ticket. It is about 1.5 miles of walking and ours took about 2 hours. The tour guide was excellent. If you can't take the tour the visitors center and short film there are a great... More

Part of the core of Annapolis, just off City Dock. Interesting French architecture and a nice way to spend an hour or two. Don't miss the chapel (and tomb of J-P Jones in the crypt). Also see the museum which has a fascinating display of dockyard models of (British) ships, some of which are made of bone by French prisoners... More

Wow, my son was ready to apply today! Beautiful campus, great history. Had to park nearby in downtown Annapolis and walk a few blocks, but no biggie. It's a military and college campus so you have to go thru security but its free to visit and surprisingly you have access to much of the campus. We ended up taking the... More
