Great Snorkelling and Swimming

This is an excellent spot for swimming from a nice sandy beach and also has good snorkelling in the same bay.

Just a beautiful place, enjoyed my swims here so much. The bay offers a safe place to swim and the views are stunning.

This beautiful bay was great for swimming and snorkelling. Also a great place to sit or lie on the grass and read a book...or have a nap.

A trip to Norfolk Island in the summertime wouldn't be complete without a swim at Emily Bay! A very safe beach which has a natural reef running across the top of the bay protecting it from the open sea. The water is warm and crystal clear. I'm not a beach person generally but went swimming every day during our stay... More

Lovely to spend some beach time on our wk stay on Norfolk. Our villa provided snorkel gear so got to see coral & parrot fish as well as just relaxing in the calm blue waters. The history of the lone Norfolk pine is such an iconic landmark defining Emily Bay!

Prefer natural swimming spots to pools, pristine refreshing salt water to sanitised stuff, gentle lapping to waves, security of a natural barrier by way of a reef? Emily Bay is for you. Swimmers can do laps, aquarobics fans can do all their exercises, little children can play safely, youths can fool about happily on the pontoon in deeper water. Go... More

Sweet Emily Bay! This was our third visit to Norfolk island, and Emily Bay has been the highlight of all our trips there. It is just beautiful. We often had it all to ourselves, which only adds to its charm. But we have also seen it late in the day as the sun is low when local families meet and... More

Lovely beach situated within the lagoon and reef. Very safe beach unless you swim to close to the gap on an out going tide but there is heaps of room and no need to go close. Take a snorkel and check out the fish and the sub tropical coral. Or take a tour on the glass bottom boat. Water is... More

Such a pretty bay, white sand, crystal clear water, not many people...perfect for a lazy swim and relax. There is also a grassed area with tables etc under the trees. Surrounded by Norfolk pines and the reef in the distance, it's absolute bliss
