Miacomet Pond is an amazing spot to unwind from your Nantucket Island adventure and relax with friends. Our host for the evening are part-time residence of the island. From their deck overlooking the pond, you truly get front row seats to mother natures opus she calls her sunset. It's breathtaking. Add friend, white wine, and freshly harvested bay scallops from... Miacomet offers a pond and an ocean. Bring a canoe or kayak for the pond and then go relax on one of Nantucket's nicer beaches. This location has gained in , so go early to secure a parking space. If you bring lunch and refreshments you can spend almost a whole day here.

It is always a pleasure to drive all the way down Miacomet Road and watch as the Pond comes into view on the right. I usually have to stop to savor the experience. Best of all is taking the drive in June, when the lupines are in bloom at the entrance to the community called "Miacomet Preserve."

Gorgeous location. Birds everywhere, sunrise and moonlight and wonders in the sky. Just a great, fabulous place for everyone.

If you continue to the end of Miacomet road and park in parking lot, there is a trail head that leads to a ver nice beach with very few people and amazing waves. Bring your coolers, food, and and garbage bags (To take out what you bring) as thee is nothing in the area. This is also a nude beach.

We drove out to Miacomet to see it and it was pretty enough. That said...it is a pond and would hardly put it in the 'destination" or "things to do" categories. Problem is that there is nothing much else around there. Worth a stop if you are passing through the east end of the island --and even then, not for... More
