Every hole on the Legend seems to be different, and presents a risk/reward option for players of all abilities. Cedar River is very playable with relatively wide fairways that are tree-lined. Both have large greens and are well-maintained. Schuss is an older and more traditional...More

Played all three course. Absolutely perfect conditions. The staff set up our golf outing and did a great job. We were able to leave our clubs on the carts each night. Clubhouse restaurant served very good food. The chef did a special dinner for us,...More

We played the Bear and the Wolverine and loved both courses. They were both challenging and fun. Both courses will well maintained. Missing the fairway can place you in some trouble. Greens are challenging. The practice facility was good. I was surprised that you had...More

Played on The Bear as a package with the hotel. The service in the pro shop, Clubhouse Grill and starters were just excellent. Great staff. As for The Bear being an 'elite' course, I'd say it's good but not great.

I've always been a big fan of the three courses at Grand Traverse, and they are always in great shape. The Bear is a Jack Nicklaus designed course that used to host the Michigan Open. From the back tees, it's a VERY difficult course. Even...More
