Busy but fun

A wonderful croatian town that just begs to be explored, with a warm and friendly population and a charm and character all of it's own.

It's a must see area and full of accommodation, restaurants and vendors. It's very convenient and popular all days from morning to evening. The buildings are really cute, ancient, and sophisticated. And the district is near to the port and Main Street. You could find what you like eventually. I recommend you to stay in this district or at least... More

A nice walk around the old and historical Split is a beautiful experience. It's an amazing city with nice architecture and full of history. A lot to know and a lot to remember about this place, guided tours are recommended however a bit expensive. Overall the city isn't very expensive and food is very cheap. Seafood is really good in... Must visit in split. Great story on the history of the city and walk the city to experience it. Listen to the folks singing at the hall if you have a chance

Split Croatia. We arrived by cruiser, the centre of the old town is just a short walk from the quay. There are many alleyways to explore and a bell tower to climb. We turned a corner and there were 5 men singing 'a capella' in the square. Very moving. Don't miss the opportunity to explore this interesting place.

Historical and interesting old town. Walking inside of Diocletian palace and by the sea is really something!

It is best to just walk... Get lost... Take a new turn and you will be amazed at what you might find. Yeah you may get a dead end or turn and end up on the same path, but then just take the next left and you will find something new! The whole maze of old town is full of... More

Loved it. Walking on big stone pathways and along mute alleys. Back in the ADs. Ah what time spent. Simply amazing.

Split old town is a beautiful place to explore, it can be done in a few hours since it's not that big. The outside promenade area is a contrasting modern road with bars and cafes to relax in the evening after exploring the narrow lanes.
