While staying in Split, we walked this street everyday because it was the street we used to get to our hotel located in Diocletian's Palace. Great small, narrow, and the principal street in the Palace. Very quaint and charming area, and there are some shops...More

Apart from the wonderful experience of shopping in the small shops, the hidden treasures on the walls in the form of freezes and tiles and other artistic works are the main attraction. Lift your eyes to see all the buildings have to offer.

In a place as extravagant with Roman relics as Split this has to be average but once again it is worth a walk down memory lane, if you have Roman blood.

Like many of the streets in the area, this is a nice narrow street with some interesting souvenir shops. Not worth seeking out on its own but as part of the area, worth a leisurely stroll.

Kresimirova obala serves as one of the interconnects between the old city center and the Diocletian Palace, so visitors will walk through it during a typical visit of Split. Great feeling for history lovers, but not worth a detour.

Kresimirova Street is the pathway from the Golden Gate entrance of Diocletian's palace to the Peristyle. With small shops ( aka souvenir shops), it is fun to wander the pathways within the walls.

This street is a main thoroughfare through the old city and has a distinct charm as you meander through the crowds, walking past various shops and restaurants. Another must see as part of your walk through Split.

Decumanus was one of the two the main thoroughfares of a typical Roman military camp and as Palace of Diocletian was set up, in principle, as a military camp this was its major road oriented from east to west. Most of the Roman road has...More
