If you have the time take the 10 minute ferry ride from Old Town to the Island of Locrum. Easy hiking around the island with great views over Dubrovnik on one side and the open sea on the other. The have free roaming peacocks and lots of bunnies. It was the summer home of Austrian archduke Maximillian and you can... More

The beach here was beautiful and there were several hundred peacocks roaming around. Very relaxing. You can hike around this island very easily.

Well the boat trip was nice. As we were not in a travelling group we did not get a lot of info regarding the Island but it was a good experience.

Interesting place to spend an afternoon or even whole day. Enjoyed it a lot. Rabbits and peacocks all around you so you feel like in a zoo. Beautiful views. Also a place to visit if you like Games of Thrones.

We went to Lockrum as an escape from the heat of the Old Town and to have a boat ride to an island. The island's history is really interesting and the wild bunnies and peacocks running around are so adorable. You need to bring your beach stuff, towel and a picnic and you have what you need to explore the... More

We took the ferry over to Lokrum several times during our stay in Dubrovnik a great island with crystal clear waters , rich history, monastery, a fort and lots of wildlife. Great places for swimming and diving a really nice island to explore at your leisure.

Exploring the island and was good fun, and from the high point of the island there are lovely views back towards the old town of Dubrovnik. Very much an activity for fair weather, and I would advise to ditch the boatload of tourists that you arrive with to experience the peace and sanctity of the island

This spot is in our top 5 list of places we are considering for our wedding. It is absolutely beautiful, peaceful and fun at the same time with a brilliant little lake with a cave at the end of it. Ridiculously pretty and sunsets here are amazing. Only downside is that it is not open to public after a certain... More

Me and my girlfriend decided to do a day-trip to the island last summer to escape the crowds and heat of the old town. I think the day spent on the island was the best time we had during our stay in Dubrovnik (which was great to begin with). Bring your swimming goggles, picnic baskets and head to the rocky... More
