The medieval walls of Dubrovnik have protected the city from hostile invasion for centuries. Today, they are a big tourist attraction and provide great views of the Old Town of Dubrovnik. We visited Dubrovnik on a day tour from Split with Portal Tours and walking the walls was the highlight of the trip. The walls are a little pricey to... More

Great first day activity! We aimed to get there early to avoid crowds, but woke up late, so we ended up reaching the entrance at noon. The sun was high and the cruise ship people were in full force - but that said, we still thoroughly enjoyed the walls and didn't find the crowds too bad. (Granted, we were there... More

If you don't walk along Ancient City Walls in Dubrovnik, you really haven't seen the beauty of this city. The audioguide introduces historic facts about this wall and it is interesting to learn. As many people already said, I recommend to go early as possible. It's crowded and ,especially in summer, the weather can get really scorching while walking along... More

If you are staying in Dubrovnik, go first thing in the morning. We went for it opening and for most of the way round it was really quiet and not too hot. We got some great photos as the views are spectacular, plus it gives a great insight into how people in the city live. When we were leaving the... More

Easy to walk. . 1.8 Km long. No stress. I recommend walking before dawn. perfect time to take photos. You will have spectacular views of the old city from above. Not recommended while hot and humid. Bring bottled water with you . It is a must activity along exploring the old city.

IT is a once in a lifetime view and experience to hove over this beautiful city and marvel at the architecture of the wall and city, and know they were built without any modern technology! ENJOY!!!

Yes, there are steps to climb. Once you get up, there are beautiful views of the fortresses, Stradun/main street and harbor area. Best to get a Dubrovnik card which includes transportation, city walls, museums and art galleries.

This is the best attraction in my opinion. Totally stunning. Takes about 1.5 hours. There is a bar / coffee shop on the wall which is lovely to sit for a while But be warned. Complete before 0930. All the cruise ship buses arrive around this time and it's just over crowded and awful when that happens ! Wonderful place

Good city walk, lots of interesting little side streets to get lost in and spend time exploring. Very safe, cobble stone streets, there is a reason its number one spot

Of the many city walls I have climbed, these ones in Dubrovnik would be the best! My husband and I were here in the off season of mid November 2016, so we were able to enjoy the whole walk without any jostling as at times we were the only ones walking around some parts. In total we only saw about... More
