Perfect for a calmer day away from the hectic tourist life in Dubrovnik, enjoying the nature! We took the ferry from Gruz in the morning, and around 2h later we arrived in Polace on the west side of the island. The small port itself is...More

Mljet was the highlight of Dubrovnik for me. It is a beautiful national park and definitely a must do. We took a ferry for about 1.5 hours from Dubrovnik port to Mljet. We paid 125 kuna for entrance into the park as well a transfer...More

Visited the park as part of the day we visited Mljet during our boat trip. The entrance was 125kn each which was a bit high to cycle around a lake and have a swim. Island was nice but park entry a bit overrated when there...More

We stayed for four nights on Mljet Island in Polace which is situated within the national park. We caught the ferry from Dubrovnik ferry port which was around 1h 45m to Polace. The island is stunning and very chilled out - you cannot help but...More

While the park with its lakes and island are beautiful, it is woefully mismanaged. You have to get a shuttle van to the spot where you can catch the boat to the island where you can then catch the boat to the cut. Each is...More

Booked the trip with our travel rep but did not realise the journey would be so long. Spent over an hour on the coach along the costal road before getting the ferry to the island. Once there it was a long walk to the national...More

It is a very tranquil place away from Dubrovnik. Take the ferry from Gruz port to Polace, where you can pay for the entrance to the national park there. Take the van to get to the big lake and you can rent a bike inside....More

I do not think that there are any waterfalls on the island of Mijet. The famous waterfalls are in the Plitvice National Park which is in the north of Croatia.

Yes you can, in fact it's one of the highlights. There are several beaches near the ferry points and entry points around the island. The cut that joins the two lakes is said to be fun to swim when there is a tide moving... More
