The Old Town, surrounded by intact medieval walls, never failed to delight. The town itself is a gem, nestled between the mountains and Adriatic Sea. It was damaged in the 1991-95 Yugoslavian war, but has been repaired and is full of churches, monasteries, a synagogue and a mosque, museums (maritime and war photography among others), art galleries and shops. The run-of-the-mill old town prides itself on its history; the locals have however openly stated that they have moved out of the old town due to its increasing focus on tourism; most shops cater to tourists, diluting the history of the town itself. Overall, nothing too fancy.

This was awesome for the photos and the views from the top of the climb. You have to be able to do some stairs but don't let that deter you, just go slowly. The steps are even and you walk on flat then more steps, just stop and take in the views. You can stop halfway or keep going, less... More

Stunning old town. You enter it and filled with enthusiasm. Save phone memory for pictures. There are many things for photography. There are many tourists from every part of the world. It's expensive, but worth to visit Dubrovnik and see all the beauty it offers.

Most of Dubrovnik consists of old houses with very narrow streets, and often with steep climbs. These streets are well worth exploring for their character, shops and cafes.

Dubrovnik is a beautiful city. Enough to keep you going for three days max.. There are no beggars or homeless people. There are no dodgy types hanging around either. As a result it comes across as a safe city. It's also very clean. The locals are generally very friendly too. Pricing is high by the Croatian standards.

Dubrovnik is worth spending a few hours if you are in the surroundings. It's very small but very clean and well organized! One has an excellent view on the city and the sea from the wall. Don't rush! Take your time and enjoy the view!

The old town is very special. So many hidden jewels within these old walls. Walk the wall and marvel at the stunning scenery. Plenty of places to eat and drink. Churches. We spent a whole day here. Well worth a visit

This place was absolutely gorgeous and the views were something you don't even see far away. The banje beach was simply beautiful and I got some great pics.
