What a lovely place to go. Just outside the city but with a beach holiday feel . Ten minutes away in a taxi from town with hotels bars and a supermarket nearby

Lapad is a brilliant tourist resort. Dubrovnik's old town is a little too crowded for my taste, especially when a cruise ship is in, and the beach is far too small for the number of people. In Lapad however, there is everything you want from...More

Disgusting put put carts on the island have no catalytic converter and spew out exhaust. Avoid this island, if you have any lung issues.

On arrival everything seems very impressive but as the week progressed the bigger picture evolved. The food whilst very well cooked and edible becomes very repetitive and boring. You have to purchase bottled water at dinner even though the tap water is perfectly okay to...More

Water taxis: We used a water taxi from near the ferry port to Lapad which is just across the water. If you want the beach it is then a 15 min walk from where the water taxi drops you off. The cost is 10kn (about a £1.10) ask... More
