It might look like the entrance to the hotel or restaurant behind but this really is another Roman 'ruin'. Not as crowded as the others so easier to take a photo.

The gate and the history behind it is quite impressive, and it is one part of the Pula historic sites that should not be missed. It was a part of a recent walking tour we did on a cruise excursion from the port of Koper....More

My wife and I were here on a tour from US. We had just seen the Amphitheater and local tour guide was walking us around the other areas in Pula. The photos themselves tell a brief story of the sight. Otherwise, it's a review with...More

Easily missed as it now seems to be entrnce to Italian cultural centre and it's not until you look up that you realsie it is the arch you have been trudging up and down the street in search of for ages.

It took us ages to find this as we used a map that as we found out later wasn't very accurate. Was it worth trailing everywhere and back and forth. Yes. But that's because we love history.

Worth a quick visit to see the 'head' of Hercules. Would recommend visiting it on a tour so you can get some information on it.

I notice the reviews aren't great, but I enjoyed the history, and the fact it was built by a woman, who's name is carved at the top!

This is an interesting gate in the old town wall. It would have been barely worth a glance had we not been on a tour with our local guide hired by Collette. He pointed out the inscriptions and outlined a bit of the history. That...More

Worth it to glance at if you are in the area. No signage, not much to see , not worth going out of the way.
