We stayed in Lviv as it was the nearest city to a village we were visiting and we had not given it much thought besides this when we booked an apartment here. However we were thrilled to find a beautiful, charming old town with heaps...More

Lviv, althogh seemingly an outlier, but in fact in the very heart of Europe. It is a wonder that the old town still remains after the wars of the 20th century on Ukrainian and Polish soil. Do not rush, have enough time!

Lviv is a surprise compared to Kiev. It has more of an Austrian feel to it with the lower old buildings, old trams and steep roofs. Outside the cobbled touristy centre it's obviously poorer as you'd expect.

It should be #1 in Lviv and entire Western Ukraine forever. Magic atmosphere that will never make you feel boring.

Lot of people told me that Lviv and it's old town is worth of visting because of architecture. It's true, but everything is neglected, disrupted. It seems that money wasn't spent that well and didn't go to the right hands. Instead of that, pockets of...More

I was in love with the Old Town: small, cozy and full of hidden cafes and restaurants. The heart of Lviv is rich of artists, small galleries and live music. Beautiful!

This old city takes you back to the time when sections were lived in by ethnic groups. You can imagine the diversity just living out their lives on these streets. It leaves your mind to wander with imagination.
