This building is a mix of the Seccessionist and Romantic styles of architecture which were in vogue in the Austrian-Hungarian Empire at the turn of the twentieth century. This styles are particularly evident in the exterior decoration. The whole thing is surrounded by a beautiful wrought-iron fence, which adds to its beauty. Unfortunately, you can only see the outside of... More

Without a doubt, the most beautiful building in Novi Sad. The architectural greatness goes in hand with historical importance of the place.

Good looking electric building was one of the first that we saw in Novi Sad. From this point you can start a promenade to Dunavska street and old town.

Brilliant! The palace combines many architectural styles. Gothic, neoclassical, baroque... you can see them all. Peppered with a strong byzantine touch

too bad you can only appreciate it from the outside! It's difficult to miss if you are walking from the main square. My husband and I enjoyed a coffee at a shop nearby while our kids chased large bubbles being blown just out front of this building.

The building is truly amazing, the architecture is incredible and it really stands as a crown to the already beautiful pedestrian street to the main square. What amazed us even more was the projection mapping that took place afterwards when we visited the square at night. It was an amazing show, Nicola Tesla-themed, and it was the first time for... The Bishops Palace is a mixture of styles built in 1901. It is still a working municipal building. It is part of a series of fairytale buildings erected by the Hungarians at the end of the 19th century to demonstrate their power and seperate identity.

Adjacent to the Ortodox church, this building was (and still is) the seat of the Bishop of Backa. Sadly, it can be only enjoyed from the outside, but still it is more than worth visiting. Marvelous architecture at its best. Try visiting in the early morning since this is the time when the colours of the exterior are the brightest.
