Not easy going, it takes about an hour to get to the top, some of the path is not good underfoot. The views are more than worth the effort though.

Incredible walls surrounded the old town of Kotor. Breathtaking views after a lot of stairs but it was well-worth the effort!! After walking we visit the old town plenty of little stores and many restaurants.

Our early morning city walls promenade was a bit tough but it was absolutely well-worth the effort. Breathtaking view is priceless!

Amazing walk up the Old City walls, past numerous fortifications and church. You can't walk around, just up the hill and back down again. Perhaps in future the whole wall will be easily accessible. Still worth the climb. Walls are quite unique as they go...More

Just the most enchanting place, so much to see. Can be a little difficult to walk around if less agile but certainly worth a visit.

The walls offer some great views back over the town but the steps are uneven and get slippery in the wet. Need to take care therefore as climbing but well worth the effort. Best access is to left of old town as you look at...More

Of course this is no where near China's Great Wall in size or grandeur, but seeing the stone walls and battlements, towers and fortresses, snaking along the ridges of the mountains, it sure brings the Great Wall to mind. But what it lacks in size,...More

Yes you can, not hard to find your way around.
IFirst off one review said 45 minute walk another said 1-2 hours each way. Sure big difference. I see there is a fee. Do you pay at bottom? We arrive at about 1pm amd depart at 8PM. Is there a time the gates close? I'm 72 but in decent physical shape. Hoping to try it. Photos look amazing.

We love going to local places. Is the place with the ham, goat cheese and wine, on the way down or up? We had friends that missed it. Thanks.
