The tower itself is quite small, but it's history is gruesome. It's a sober reminder of tough times in the history of the region. The entry fee is quite small, so worth seeing it.

The name sounds awesome, i mean SKULLLLL TOWERRRRR It wouldve been really cool when it was first made, but now, there are only like 15 skulls left, and its in a room, so less intimidating. Still, worth a 20 minute visit, it costs like $1...More

The history behind it is big! Although for the entry price not sure if you would think if it’s a lot or very cheap but there’s not much to see inside. Probably better off just getting someone to show you photos and for them to...More

A powerful visual representation of the violent history of the place. Not very easy to reach. For someone interested in history I would rather recommend the concentration camp museum.

Stunning. There are only few skulls left but they are in good condition and whole tower looks like there is food treatment about heritage. It is sad memorial to human cruelty.

I was very underwhelmed by this "attraction". I have seen skull collections before (for example Paris). Unfortunately there is only very limited information about the skulls, the tower is really small, and many skulls are gone. Be aware that it is not easy to find...More

I've never been somewhere before where the winning side sinks the skulls of the conquered into the walls of the tower to warn anyone else who might think about trying to start another war. It doesn't take very long to tour the tower but it's...More

A piece of history that you should visit when you come to Niš. The story goes that during the First Serbian Uprising, Serbian rebels under the command of Stevan Sinđelić were attacked by the Ottomans on Čegar Hill, near Niš. Knowing that he and his fighters would be impaled if captured, Sinđelić...More
