A very large Cathedral, very imposing, inside and out. There are no seats, people stand but every piece of the inside is decorated.

I visited over a hundred churches in Europe; the interior of this church is the most impressive one of all - I spent over an hour just to admire the architecture, the colour, and paintings that cover every inch of the interior surfaces.

Church is not old but will be the coming centuries. And it is if you go back in time. Excessive decorations. We were there during the mess. One in a lifetime experience!

You will find far more beautiful Orthodox churches in the surrounding villages which are much older too, my favorite was the interior of the church in the village of Sibiel not far from Sibiu. This Cathedral was okay. If you want to see an altar...More

One of the biggest churches in Sibiu.Impressive,with a big dome and two high,slender bell towers.Built in early 1900's.

The church is definitely wort visiting - beautiful frescoes and icons. Apparently one of the biggest churches in Romania.

Incredibly beautiful Cathedral, every inch of wall & ceiling painted with exquisite religious imagery. We were lucky enough to catch an evening service which was truly magical
