Spent a few hours looking around the outside of the mosque. Could see inside but not allowed to go inside. Architecture was beautifal.

We visited this historic Grand mosque in Sousse which is almost 1000 years old. The architecture of the mosque is really unique.

you have the opportunity to see the great mosque when making the classic trip in the desert ... the access is not guaranteed but you can look inside from the roof of a souvenir shop with which the guide has an opportunity contract and you...More

but it looked very beautiful from outside. If you get in the Ribat and climb the tower, 74 steps will rewards you with a nice view of the Mosque. See my pictures.

Very beautiful mosque the inside was huge and beautiful too. Nice recitation as well. I bought a magnet from one of the souvenir shops with the mosque picture in front.

The last prayer is 9.40 , but if you planning to visit it’s better after lunch time there is two entrances one for men one for women. You are required to take shoes off as people pray inside . Most people speak English and... More
