The medina of Sousse is quite large and always full of people. Here you can try your barter skills and be sure, you will loose against the locals, but it is fun. Go early in the morning to avoid the big queues.

Nice to go there, great to see all the local products and have a nice chat with the locals. Been there with my twins of 6 months old then, had a lot of attention from all the locals.

Make sure you visit the medina. Eye opening. Prepare to barter hard to get a good deal. Don't be afraid to walk away.

Its not dangerous at all but you need to be prepared for people to try to get you in their shops. If you are friendly but firm and just keep walking you will be fine. Try not to make eye contact with shop kerpets or point as they see that as you like to buy. There are some fixed priced... More

The town looks like in the time of communism ... When we entered the Medina fear was to go on, because we catch people there, they followed us, not to let peace. I was very afraid of the people! We wanted to be visited Tunisia, because we assume the state is interesting, but unfortunately we finished visiting Tunisia because afraid... More

Sousse is considered a typical example of the cities of the early centuries of Islam in North Africa. Written since 1988 to UNESCO World Heritage , its historic site "La Médina" is an awesome place to visit. The kasbah and its walls but also the Grand Mosque , the Ribat and Mosque "Bu Ftata" , military and religious building will... More

La Medina of sousse is always a great place to take a walk by if you love history and old architecture! You will meet locals and visit Artisans boutiques and vintage style coffee shops along side with mosques and old houses..Awesome place for photographers too!

This place is very interesting. Full of local people, there is less tourist. It's easy to walk and find your own way. You don't need a guide. Only check the map on your cellphone (off line).

The narrow streets, the shops, the places to eat, the buzz, the smells, the atmosphere... all incredible. One of those places that makes you stop and think... wow what was it like here 50 years ago or more. We travelled here from Sousse and spent time at the medina and other local areas of interest. Wonderful day out. Highly recommended.
