This is a Palace with many buildings on a large footprint built by King Mindon. A must have is someone to explain it all. There is an original watchtower like a helter skelter that should not be missed to see a plan of the Palace....More

The palace is huge with many buildings. Most were used by the military in a different era, and there is still a large military presence. The museum is worth a quick visit, quite small but interesting.

Typical tourist spot. Brief history and rebuilt. Lack details in carving and decorations. Better to have guide as explanation on site limited.
