We went with a group on this cruise. The boat was very clean and the table and chairs comfortable. The scenery along this stretch is very interesting and we had a delicious meal. We stopped at the whisky village and the Buddha caves from which there were some excellent views. Definitely worth doing.

This cruise provides authentic fresh local food on a comfortable boat and very attentive staff. The cruise visited the caves nearby where there are Buddas of various sizes.

We have done the Mekong cruises many times, but this is really worth the 25$ for a beautiful boat, professional crew, delicious Lao lunch and stops at Buddha Cave and the Whiskey-making village. Highly recommend!

We booked a tour by email directly to Nava Mekong. Everything went well. No need payment in advance. Tour start at 10.00 and finish at 14.00. Lunch served on the boat when cruising back to Luang Prabang. Only one thing i dont like, they set all table as a group of 4. 4 seat for 1 table. If you are... More

We originally learned about the Nava Mekong boat and cave tour from our hotel, which was too ritzy for us so we assumed the boat ride might also be too fancy. But the more time we spent in Luang Prabang, the more I realized it seemed like an easy, low stress way to make the pilgrimage to Pak Ou Caves,... More

Booked the trip by sending an e-mail, it worked fine! Nice boat with covered roof but open windows so shade from the sun but nice cool air from the river. The boat also had two clean toilets. First stop was called the whiskey village, kind of pointless but you could taste and buy different drinks in a small village, where... More

Very pleasant river trip, clean and comfortable boat, crew very professional and served us an excellent lunch. Two stops, one at the Buddhist caves and the other at a whisky making village. We weren't particularly interested in the whisky, but the village women were doing their own weaving and the scarves and shawls they sold were great value. There is... More

First proper value for money excursion we have done in Laos. The boat left on time, with the host ensuring we got vegetarian food despite our hotel goofing up the booking. We had an infant with us who ensured there was noise but the guests and people at boat were very nice about it. Excellent value for money.

We did both the lunchtime and dinner cruises. Both were extremely enjoyable and the team on board were most pleasant. The food was delicious and varied. Gorgeous scenery too!

Booked through our hotel recommendation and wasn't disappointed. Very friendly welcoming staff. They will point out places to you as you go down the river side you don't miss any photo opportunities. The caves are definitely worth a visit but be warned the upper cave is a bit of a climb but you are welcomed back on the boat with... More
