I booked a day to see the falls in advance of my arrival in Luang Prabang as I wanted to make sure to have the private boat ride to the falls on the specific day I had available. The booking process went smooth, and I was required to give a deposit for my reservation via PayPal. I was picked up... More

Thank you for your review. Due to logistics, it is difficult to include the village fees for the temples, as the temple ticket booths are far away from the boat and the boat captain goes from one temple to the other. For the lunch, yes better if you can enjoy it at the falls, thanks for letting me know about... More

Emi Weir and her amazing guides showed us the very best of Luang Prabang from recommendation on hotel to river trips and unusual finds. Have her show you the cotton villages and the superb weaving of the native Lao women. And, don't forget to ask her to book you a cooking lesson with her friend Kao!

Wonderful day out on the Mekong River. It was our first day in Luang Prabeng and a wonderful way to start. We were collected at our hotel by tuk tuk and taken straight to our own boat for just the four of us. They had a lovely picnic basket for us for the trip or to take up to the... More

Thank you. I'm glad your girls enjoyed the truck, although we can arrange alternative transport for those who may find it a little difficult, it is a fun way to see the countryside. More

We booked this through email with Emi for 60$ for 2 adults and 2 children. I was very happy with the prompt responses and ease of booking. The cruise included a pick up at our hotel which was a bit out of town (for which we paid slightly more), and the tuk tuk guy was there on time. The cruise... More

This was the highlight of our trip to Laos. We’re touring SE Asia and only had a couple days in Laos. Emi’s “banana boat water fall tour” (BB01) was the perfect trip for our schedule. We got to experience a lot of things with this journey (Mekong boat ride, temples, the epic waterfall, etc.). With all the boxes we checked,... More

Thank you so much, I think Hawaiians and Lao people have a lot in common, knowing how to enjoy life and take it easy. Pouk really enjoyed having you onboard. More

We had a wonderful full day with our fellow tour companions. By organizing everything in the background, Emi gave us a fantastic adventure without ever making us feel like we were on a typical bulk tour. The trip down the Mekong was beautiful and the picnic lunch was absolutely delicious. If you want to visit temples and the waterfalls, this... More

Could not think of a more delightful way to spend a day in LP. If your in a rush and don't want to experience anything like most of the rush tourists to the Falls, then skip this review. Wonderfully organised via email with Emi we enjoyed a well organised trip with on time 9:45 hotel pickup in tuk tuk to... More

The banana boat ride to see the Pak Ou Caves was very enjoyable. The view during the journey was spectacular! We stopped by a couple of villages on the way there and back and got to see how paper, lao lao "whiskey" and scarves are made. Our guide was great. And the lunch and snacks we had onboard the boat... We took the day trip to Kuang Si Falls but swapped the temples for a quick visit to the Butterfly Park. From booking to when we were dropped back to town at the end of the day it was seamless. Emi kept us informed via email before the day and both the boat driver and truck driver/guide where helpful and... More

6 of us (including 5 & 7y.o.girls) thoroughly enjoyed the day. Seamless process with transport, boat ride and the ability to pace ourselves led to a relaxed and rewarding appreciation of the Luang Prabang surrounds--travelling the "mighty" Mekong; local temple with ancient art, cave with altar; Kuang Si falls;Bear Rescue centre with bears well cared for and playful antics very...
