I didn't think this place could live up to its reputation, be I was sure wrong! The falls were absolutely breathtaking... best I've seen in south east Asia! A must see in Laos.

Get there early so you can beat most crowds that arrive around 11. Try not to take the hotel buses or you will be stuck there most of the day which is way too long. The attached bear rescue sanctuary is amazing and the bears are so fluffy.

It is the most beautiful waterfalls ever seen, clean, easy to swim, and just gorgeous! Easy one hour trip. We were there in wet season, and lots of people! But still easy to Swim! P.s the bear enclosure was a delight!

The place is rather photogenic, but above that, it's something else and not that overrated. Kuang Si Falls is included in my booked tour, in which I have 2-3 hours to spend here. Don't make the same mistake. Hire a private tuk-tuk at around USD20 or less, and spend the entire day here - meditate, hanging around or whatever.

These Falls are definitely worth the trip, some of the most beautiful waterfalls I have ever seen! It was raining pretty hard when we were there, so we did not go swimming in the ponds below. Also afterwards, you walk thru the bear rescue which was interesting as well.

A trip to Kuang Si is a must for anyone making their way through Luang Prabang. My friend and I rented motorbikes and made the trip out that way, which I highly recommend. It's the best way to take in the scenery and driving through small villages and winding roads was a lot of fun. The Falls themselves are breathtaking.... More

My wife and I booked a tour that started with watching the monks receive their alms. We then travelled 45 minutes to the falls. They are magnificent. At 7.30 we were the only people there. Our guide had brought our breakfast and we ate it looking at the 80 metre drop. After breakfast a short walk brought us to a... More

Went in mid May, where the water level was relatively low and the place, less crowded. It was simply breathtaking and beautiful. Be there early to avoid the crowd, so that you have the place to yourselves for a few hours. We left around 11.30 as the place was getting too noisy.

This series of beautiful pools will be a highlight of any trip to Luang Prabang. Sure, it's crowded in the lower pools, but it's so fun to be among locals and visitors alike, enjoying this wonderful, clean and colorful scene. Then, go to the upper pools to find a little more serenity if you like--it's all good! The water's an... More
