A great place to see the old gate of Makkah, gold market and mostly impressive its a coral reef city. Buildings were made of coral. It is a world heritage site.

Nice place, down town Jeddah, lot to shop and eat. Enjoyed summer evening. Try the souq for traditional items, go around and see some of the oldest structures.

5PM max! If you want lunch, I'd recommend you to go to Al-Hamraa area, have lunch and hit the road to Balad after Asr prayer time!

The Red Sea Palace is nice, but a little expensive. Al Morooj Kareem is even closer, clean and cheap. There are some more hotels around Morooj Kareem.
