About
The UAE’s latest cultural landmark, Dubai Frame is an iconic structure that ‘frames’ impressive views of Old and New Dubai, while serving as a metaphorical bridge connecting the emirate’s rich past with its magnificent present. Dubai Frame celebrates the story of Dubai from its early establishment to its ambitious plans for future development. Launched in January 2018, the project comprises a 150-metre-high, 95-meter-wide structure being built to resemble a huge picture frame, through which landmarks representing modern Dubai such as Emirates Towers and Burj Khalifa can be seen on one side, while from the other side, visitors can view older parts of the city such as Deira and Karama. Exterior design of Dubai Frame was inspired from the logo of EXPO2020 and it is world's largest picture frame by Guinness World Records. According to Dubai Frame general policy, guests are requested to wear respectful clothing: shoulders and knees to be covered.

- Richard M1 contributionFelt it sway.Does the frame sway? while facing and waiting for lift down from top viewing area - i felt the floor move left and right. i then focussed on a ground objects thru the glass floor and to my suprise found it be moving slightly. i was keen to get down the lift to safe ground. my daughter who was with me suggests architecture considers the sway in the build. however i havent noticed it to that degree in the 4 hotels we have stayed at in dubai. it could be just me being paranoid!Visited December 2022Travelled with familyWritten 28 December 2022

You must book your spot by 30 minute but they make you wait 2 hours on the sun. Very crowded elevators with view on only one side of them.Dear valued guest, Warm greetings from Dubai Frame and many thanks for taking the time to post this review. - Jignesh ShialMumbai, India83 contributionsAmazing experienceIts another master piece which must be visited but if crowded than be patient as they handle crowd with ease. There are only 2 lifts which takes time to reach at the top and than return is again crowded. But view from top is awesome and worth a visit.Visited December 2022Written 2 January 2023
- Aero Dylan8 contributionsIf you need a reason to climb something tall, go here. Why build this "frame"? Why not? Designed to look out upon the Old dubai and new Dubai at the same time. You can climb up and look down. That's about it. Tie this in with a visit to the Souks and perhaps it makes sense. Very cool, but during peak tourist season you can wait up to an hour to get in. Much better in off-peak times.Dear AeroDylan, Warm greetings from Dubai Frame and many thanks for this review. We appreciate your time and value your opinion. Many thanks again! The security guards claimed the DF closes at 9:00 PM and that they were given us extra time to finish the tour. We felt rushed through the exhibit.Dear valued guest, Warm greetings to you from Dubai Frame and many thanks for your visit. Before the elevators there is a short display of Dubai's history and dome inspiring quotes of the Sheikh. Once you get to the top, the views are wonderful in all directions and the glass floor is at first a bit frightening but once you overcome it is wonderfulDear Amnon F, Warm greetings from Dubai Frame and thank you so much for paying us a visit, your kind feedback is very much appreciated, we are glad your visit was full of excitement and enjoyable moments. There is an entrance fee of AED 50 and for kids there is discounted fee. We reached at 11 am and it took almost an hourto go to the top of Dubai Frame. Better to start little earlier and avoid huge lines. At the top only a maximum of 15 to 20 minutes can be spent. View through transaparent glass floor is defintely worth.Dear valued guest, Many thanks for posting this great feedback. It took us almost 2 hours to enter the place. Once you are inside, it is interesting to see the contrast - old city on one side and new on other side. Worth the visit.Dear valued guest, Warm greetings to you from Dubai Frame and thank you so much this this feedback, we are glad to know the overall experience was quite enjoyable despite the waiting time. - Robert ORotterdam, The Netherlands3,825 contributionsTo frame DubaiThe location between old and new Dubai is not a coincidence, as the huge 150m high frame could also be seen as a bridge. However, the main idea of Mexican designer Fernando Donis was to frame Dubai as it is, instead of adding another emblematic object like a tower. - AsherLeeds31 contributionsWow factor! The views are spectacular and the glass floor weird and wonderful! ! Now the downside.. the organisation in the mornings when I suspect they are busy is pretty lacking! Long queue with NO shade!! 2 lifts on each side take 15 people roughly and this is excruciating going up and unbearable going down!! There should have a little water and drink kiosks outside.. I should think some customers would have had health issues with this lack of fluids! Up at the top 2 extortionately priced kiosks for warm (!) water and coffee and some poor overworked solo member of staff at the till! Management need to address these issues! Interesting and reasonably priced for Dubai!Visited March 2023Written 4 March 2023

The Dubai Frame is a true masterpiece of modern architecture. Its design is not only visually stunning but also conceptually brilliant. The frame symbolizes the contrast and harmony between Dubai's rich history and its ambitious future.
Upon arrival, the entrance itself is impressive, featuring a multimedia exhibition that provides a comprehensive overview of Dubai's transformation over the years. This immersive introduction sets the stage for what lies ahead. As you ascend to the top of the frame, you're greeted with breathtaking panoramic views of the city.
The glass-floored Sky Deck is a heart-pounding experience, offering a vertigo-inducing look down at the ground below. It's not for the faint of heart but adds an exciting element to the visit.
In terms of facilities, the Dubai Frame is well-maintained, and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly, eager to answer any questions you might have.

Situated in Zabeel Park, Dubai, the Dubai Frame serves as an observatory monument and proudly holds the title of being the world's largest frame. As a monumental structure, it offers a unique perspective on Dubai's past, present, and future. It offers perspectives of historical Dubai to the north and showcases the more contemporary areas to the south. The Dubai Frame's rectangular architecture draws inspiration from the 'golden ratio' of 1.618, a revered principle believed by many architects and artists to create an ideal and harmonious structural balance.

It is mind-blowing! It's like a giant picture frame, and when you look through it, you see old and new Dubai. The glass floor is a bit scary but so cool! It's not too expensive, and the view is spectacular. If you're in Dubai, don't miss this unique experience – it's like stepping into a futuristic postcard of the city!

Whilst the Frame is not as high as the Burj Khalifa nor affords as good views, it is a fraction of the price and you will not have to wait so long to get in and it is not as overcrowded.
We did have to wait in the queue for about 40 minutes before we walked through the UAE in the past mini history tour, but when you don't have a time slot booked I guess you Kind of have to expect this.
Views were great from the top, transparent walkway was cool and it wasn't overcrowded. Unlike the Burj you can see outside from the lift as you ascend.
The UAE future 360 show at the end was very cleverly done. Whole thing including queueing probably took about 2 hours.
Very nice gardens etc outside. Easy to access off stop 15 on the Big Bus Tour.

It's not worth the time and money. It's just a frame, it will take you about 30-50 min to reach the deck and then another 20-40 min to come down. Once you are on the top of the frame there is nothing much to interest you. If you are short on time then I would suggest to skip it entirely, you are not missing out on anything.

This was very boring and a waste of money. To go inside, look at the top and come down takes about 15-30 minutes. The view from the top is not great, if you want a view best head over to Burj Khalifa or the Palm Observatory in Marina. The park is bare and tiny, not a single flower, just a few benches and grass. No shops or cafes nearby so it’s pretty out of the way to get here. I would say unless you have absolutely nothing to do, give this frame a miss.

I've read that there's a clear glass walkway inside the frame. Do you have to pass this, or is there an alternative route. Travelling with someone who would prefer to avoid this. Thanks

Yes, the glass floor is only on the middle. On the sides, along the windows, is the normal floor. So, you can admire the panorama without having to step on the glass floor.

Hi, could you recommend the ideal day time to visit the Dubai Frame, so we could enjoy the views (considering the sun light, etc...). Thank you.

Aberdeen, UK1,691 contributions
Apologies if someone has answered you already but the sun is constant during the day so given my experience I'd do it as early as possible so that the queues are quieter! If you want sunset, then head there potentially an hour before sunset in case the queues are huge. Even with a pre-purchased ticket, I still had about 30-40 minute wait to get in and it was over an hour I heard them say after I had left.
If I buy a Dubai Frame combination ticket do I have to usd the combo ticket on thd same day
