Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo is one of the most captivating...

Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo is one of the most captivating attractions in Dubai. Located at The Dubai Mall, the largest mall in the world, offering a memorable journey into ocean life. With capacity to hold 10 million litres of water, Dubai Aquarium is one of the largest indoor aquariums in the world and it illuminates the marvels of the ocean floor, showcasing one of the most diverse collections of aquatic life. Located just above the aquarium, Underwater Zoo brings visitors up close with penguins, piranhas, crabs, water rats, sea horses, jellyfish and plenty more. A fascinating new addition at Underwater Zoo is King Croc, regarded as nature's rare phenomenon and one of the world's largest reptiles - at over 5 meters long and weighing an imposing 750 kg plus. Underwater Zoo regularly hosts innovative exhibits. One such exhibit, 'UAE's Night Creatures' presents the experience of nightfall in the desert as creatures of the dark.

One of the best aquariums to visit. You'll be amazed even as a bystander when you walk through the mall. It was roughly £10 each with a voucher that my friend had. We were also given a guided tour which was informative. Our three year old loved it as he's a big fan of animals. Make sure you get a... More

We were lucky to visit this wonderful place and have our kids to enjoy underwater Zoo as well. Just adding 80 Dh on the top of the ticket and your kids can feed rays which is unforgettable experience. Try and you will never forget this.

My 3 year old enjoyed this. Can spend half a day here looking at the fishes. Go for shark ride. We couldn't as 3 year olds were not allowed.

My husband and I came to Dubai to celebrate my 40th birthday! I planned this trip down to the last detail but I didn't consider the aquarium in my itinerary as we didn't bring our children on the trip with us. While in the mall my husband saw the large tank and inquired if we could go. There were lots... More

The under water tunnel, the 5 meter crocodile and the different species of fish are like nothing I have ever seen in my life before. This was a truly enjoyable experience and would recommend it to anyone.

the tunnel is short and sweet. but the underwater zoo is amazing. we can spend hours and hours here. you can even do the fish feeding or the glass bottom boat. you can even dive, but dubai has so many amazing diving spots why would you do it in a mall?

We literally went here just because we were in Dubai. I'm not sure it is complete value for money. Lots of ticket options depending on what you want to see or do. I was a little confused by the layout but overall worth a visit

I was mistaken into thinking the arch when you enter the Dubai aquarium and the large glass display of fish, is all that you see for this attraction! You actually have to move a few floors up the escalators to actually enter the underwater zoo. My toddler loved the experience, of being close up to the fish. A demonstration is... More

It was the best experience ever! The variety of fish in the aquarium leaves you awestruck! Especially seeing the giant crocodile.

Staying in Downtown Dubai

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown Dubai
You can’t fail to miss Dubai’s iconic Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building. It towers over the city and resides in the prestigious Downtown development. Once an old army base, Downtown is now the jewel in Dubai’s crown, a beautiful residential and leisure area housing not only the world’s tallest building, but the world’s largest fountains and mall. Wide marble sidewalks are perfect for strolling, with restaurants, art galleries and children’s play areas. Specially commissioned sculptures line the roads and Downtown is often used as a canvas for modern art displays and community events such as Classic Car Shows and National Day parades. In the cooler months, cross one of the many bridges to the Burj Khalifa park and enjoy a picnic alongside residents and visitors, or enjoy a lunch or dinner watch the dancing fountains. Because of its mixed use, Downtown is a fantastic place to mix with Dubai residents and locals and watch real life unfold in a cosmopolitan environment.
