Top ways to experience The Dubai Fountain
The area
Neighbourhood: Downtown Dubai
You can’t fail to miss Dubai’s iconic Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building. It towers over the city and resides in the prestigious Downtown development. Once an old army base, Downtown is now the jewel in Dubai’s crown, a beautiful residential and leisure area housing not only the world’s tallest building, but the world’s largest fountains and mall. Wide marble sidewalks are perfect for strolling, with restaurants, art galleries and children’s play areas. Specially commissioned sculptures line the roads and Downtown is often used as a canvas for modern art displays and community events such as Classic Car Shows and National Day parades. In the cooler months, cross one of the many bridges to the Burj Khalifa park and enjoy a picnic alongside residents and visitors, or enjoy a lunch or dinner watch the dancing fountains. Because of its mixed use, Downtown is a fantastic place to mix with Dubai residents and locals and watch real life unfold in a cosmopolitan environment.

    Nice
Dubai fountain is in front of dubai mall. The fountain show starts post 5 pm in the evening. One can watch it either from outside the mall or from burj khalifa. It is a small 2 minute show but nice. Our kids really enjoyed the show.

    A Must-See Attraction At Night
The Dubai Fountain is currently the world's largest musical fountain, it is 3 times larger than the Fountains of Bellagio in Las Vegas, USA. It comes alive every 30 minutes between 6pm and 11pm daily. It performs to a variety of music, including English, Arabic, Chinese, Indian, Japanese and Korean songs. You watch this beautiful spectacle from the promenade outside the Dubai Mall or from a restaurant in the surrounding area. Highly recommended!

    Spectacular fountains
Had a lovely evening and the fountains were spectacular. We stayed and saw all the displays they last for a few hours so it's worth staying around. The Burj khalifa was also lit which we hadn't expected. Definitely worth a visit.

    Must See
Almost everyone visits dubai mall on their trip to dubai. This is a free to watch 5 minute show (free things are difficult to find in dubai), and is best viewed after the sunset. With burj khalifa by it’s side and the amazing view, it will take all your tiredness/ stress away.

    Well worth a trip
Amazing experience. Lift is so cool and quick. I am frightened of heights so wasn’t sure I could do it but feels so safe. You can see everything and even on the outside ledge feel like you’re very safe. Great photo opportunities and photo games inside really good fun

    Jewel in the Dubai Crown
The fountains are one of the most fantastic parts of Dubai, we love the area and the Burj Khalifa as the back drop. They are great watched from any angle, but get there in plenty of time to avoid disappointment. That said, you can see them from pretty much anywhere and the music and atmosphere is sometimes enough. There are loads of great places to eat around here too, so you won’t be short of entertainment. We once sat and had a Shake Shack whilst being blown away by this incredible light and water show. Don’t listen to the people that complain, this is the the biggest in the world and the accompanying music can evoke all kinds of emotions. We’ve been to Dubai 4 times and each time this part gives us the biggest smile. Remember, nowhere else in the world does this as well as Dubai does, whilst also keeping everywhere so immaculate and clean. It is a great part of an awe inspiring area of Dubai. Enjoy your time here.

Spectacular. No Need for Prime Viewing Tickets
The Dubai Fountain is spectacular plus it's free. Hanging out at the Fountain and looking up at the impressive Burj Khalifa is almost as enjoyable as the experience of riding to the top of the Burj. We made the mistake of purchasing tickets to get access to a prime viewing area. We sadly missed our scheduled time as it took longer than expected to get here because of an Uber delay and traffic plus we got lost in the maze-like Dubai Mall. However, purchasing such tickets is completely unnecessary as there are plenty of good viewing spots.

Try To Get A Spot Next To The Pool Before It Gets Dark!
I went to view the fountain right after my cool and fun experience at the top of the Burj Khalifa. While the fountains shoot high, and once can still see everything quite well, had I got there a bit earlier, I would have been right next to the giant pool and got a "front row seat" for viewing. Otherwise, there were SOOOOO many people there also wanting to enjoy the show. However, I still fully enjoyed the fountain show complete with great accompanying music, and was still able to get very decent video and pictures from the height and area I was standing at. The show lasts for about (10-15 minutes?) can't totally remember the total time though. Also synchronized with the fountains, is the Burj Khalifa which puts on it's own light show against the building itself which was also really fun to watch with all the different light patterns and colors.

    Great sights!
After a full day at the Mall, we stayed on at the end of the day to see the fountains. We caught a couple of the music shows - all taking place every half hour. The music and lights (came on at 7pm) were quite breathtaking, quite atmospheric and the whole background scenery all adds to the show. Could see the cafes and little boats for those wanting to watch for a while - would have been nice to have done that. Well worth seeing this - I'd go back to see if I was in Dubai!

    Mesmerizing Experience
The Dubai Fountain is an incredible show of water, light, and music right in front of the Burj Khalifa. The way the water dances to the music and the lights is seriously amazing. It's like they're all in sync, creating this magical experience. The water jets can go really high, and the colors make it all feel so alive. You can watch it from different spots and it never gets old. It's one of those things that just makes you go "wow" and feel lucky to see it.

Oohh absolutely incredible. Really emotional as the water played to Luciano Pavarotti Nessun Dorma when here in June. There was certainly a special moment whilst watching this. It is not on for long and crowds gather for the o clock from 6pm onwards but absolutely worth it. A few seats around the outside which are absolutely fine as everyone stands up when it starts so it is nice being able to sit for a while beforehand as it does get very busy.

Got a taxi from hotel to Dubai Mall. Got a place next to railings. The fountain show was fabulous all set to music and incredible show and all free. Show starts at 18:30 then every half hour till approximately 21:00, different music each time and lasts roughly 15 minutes.

A super evening spent at the Dubai Fountains with our 4 and 8 year old boys. Lots of people around and a great atmosphere. We ate at The Tap House overlooking the fountains and the Burj Khalifa, we were lucky enough to see the display from start to finish. Boat trips available, although we didn’t do this, I’m sure it would be a pretty cool experience! Free parking available at the Dubai Mall was a bonus.

The fountains area outside the Dubai Mall is an awesome space ... loads of resturants to enjoy and a water show that is performed most evenings. The views back up to the Burj are cracking.

We warned, all the man-made materials soak up and then refect back the heat of the day, so take plenty of water as its a very hot environment.

You do not have to pay for the bridge or the boat tour... there is a barrier going must of the way around fountain for you to see it.. there are many restaurants that have balconies too that you can watch from.. Check times and days .. but if you stay to end of night... taxi's are only in 1 area and takes 10-15mins to get out of car park....Mall is amazing.. show is great to watch and different music and lights/water each time..

A must see but very very hot day and night. Very large Dubai Mall and fountains are outside the Mall. All the designer shops are in the mall.

It was a spectacular experience that shouldn't be missed. The synchronized water, light, and music show is captivating, with water jets shooting up to 500 feet high. Set against the backdrop of the Burj Khalifa, the fountain performances are truly magical, especially at night.
