We took it from south to north. You get to see the south tower area & the downtown area + a good view of the Palm, the Burj Al Arab, one of the royal compounds & the start of the "world islands". It really gives a different & impressive point of view - work doing. I would recommend taking a... More

It cost us 25 dhs each and the man in the ticket office didn't explain there were 5 dhs tickets too so we didn't find out the different. The ferry or water busy is every 20 minutes at the weekend but it takes almost an hour just to do a small journey with 4 stops and in fact does 2... More

I took my mother and sister inlaw on a ferry from Dubai Marina to the Creek. Its a fairly long trip but the ferry was really comfortable and well equipped. The price is reasonable and gives one a different perspective of the city. Not something to do on a windy day or when the waters are choppy!. Good overall experience

Just recently opened this new ferry route starts from the Creek metro station (well the water terminal 200m from the station) and you travel along the new Canal through the developing zone around the Burgh Khalifa to the end-point, which is at the Ocean but also in the middle of nowhere (until it gets developed). Not to worry, it's a... More

We picked up the ferry at the Dubai Marina Mall and took it all the way to the Creek. Its a trip for an hr and an half. Well worth it to see the shoreline, the Burj up close as well as the high risers along the Marina as well as some of the presidential homes on the seashore.

I caught the ferry from Bur Dubai down to the Marina. It would have been better if there hadn't been any fog about. The boat was comfortable with good ac. Got some great chances to see things from the ocean side not just land side. It took about 1 hour 45 minutes and cost 50dhm well worth it

If you have very less time left to see Dubai, I would suggest the ferry to be the best option as it would allow you to get a beautiful view of the Burj Al Arab, Jumeriah and finally the Dubai Marina. The ferry was comfortable - costed around 50 AED for a single trip of duration 90 minutes (Al Gubaiba... More

I had very thrilling experience with my family in ferry drive in the evening a year ago .We were taken from Bur Dubai ferry station to the deep sea for about an hour (total journey) and we paid AED 50 each. When we commenced our our trip, it was about the sun setting time. As we kept moving deep in... More

Staying in The Marina

Neighbourhood Profile
The Marina
It’s hard to believe that only a decade ago there was no marina. Opened in 2003, the man-made marina runs along a 3km stretch of shoreline. A heady mix of luxurious hotels, apartment buildings, and cafes, the marina hosts regular community events and markets, and is a wonderful place to while away an afternoon or evening. Spectacular at night when the skyscrapers glisten, here you can enjoy dinner on the beach next to the sea, or visit a high-rise bar in a hotel for a magnificent view across the Gulf and the man-made Palm Island, with the world-famous Atlantis Hotel at its end. The Walk at Jumeirah beach Residences is a pedestrianized stretch leading to a new development: The Beach. It’s one of the few places where Gulf nationals mix with tourists and Western ex-pats. It’s a popular place to show off your supercar for an evening, so watch out for Lamborghinis, Maseratis, and Ferraris in abundance.
