Dubai is like a giant building site. Interestingly the palm is one of the few man made objects that can be seen from space. We go up in a helicopter tomorrow, so am expecting that to be good. The land is all reclaimed over a number of years and built on. The run out is intrrrsting and at the end... More

Travelled along the palm up to the atlantis. Just beautiful. Mostly has residential blocks or hotels built on it. One can always travel via tram and connect to the mono rail to reach up to the Palm jumeirah

We are staying in Fairmont 5*. It is an amazing hotel and the buffet is very good. The hotel pools are warm during winter and lots of kids. There is an adult pool. Quite a bit of construction going on either side, but not to bothersome. The beach is great and has lots of activities. So not to everyone's taste,... More

We had a loverly stay. It's hard to find hotels that accommodate our large family without requiring us to buy two separate rooms so this hotel was perfect. The maid's room made it possible for us to bring our nanny as well. It was wasy to find, check in was a breeze, and it had tons of room for us.... More

Not much to see other than the outside of the Atlantis Hotel. Board walk is quite boring with very little to do other than gaze out to the sea and buy some food from the small street food vendors . Parking is very difficult to find.

All man made, there are three islands that have been built. All of this is unbelievable and would not have been allowed in the states. Go and visit this marvel.

Palm Jumeirah is just another wonder of the modern era. These are artificial islands made in the waters of Dubai in the shape of a palm tree. The area is mainly surrounded by luxurious residential enclaves and buildings facing the beach. There are resorts, private beaches and tons of villas too. The main attractions include The Atlantis, Aquaventure Water Park,... More
