Absolutely beautiful convent complex with an array of lovely religious works of art. Really interesting museum. the building itself is a fine old thick walled colonial one with the most magnificent interior courtyard which is covered in shrubs and leafy trees. You can stroll around it with its cloister like arched walkway or above it on an open corridor looking... More

This is a great museum and what it makes it stand out is the new part of the tour where you can enter the cloistered part of the convent - historically blocked off to outsiders - and see the uncovered wall paintings. It's incredible and our guide was lovely. Make sure to take your time and ask questions!

The visit of Santa Clara convent was a great surprise for us. The guide was helpful (except for the paintings where he just says what's on the signs) and gave a lot of information about the convent's history. The cloister has beautiful wall paintings that were rediscovered about a year ago. The church itself is alright and has a beautiful... More

We visited Sta. Clara six years ago. This visit was much more special, after the restoration of the wall paintings in the cloister. You can almost feel the hand of the artisans who painted these lovely scenes.

The convent recently underwent restoration and is very beautiful and interesting. The very old organ in the church is amazing! Fortunately someone was practicing when we were there so we got to hear it. We had a very good guide. Costs 15 bolivianos

The building and it's central court yard are a nice escape front he bustling city streets. The view from the roof top, especially at sun set is pretty spectacular.

Much more beautiful than San Felipe Neri. Museum is really nice with a really friendly tour (Mrs. Marcela). The church is more beautiful as well. Definitely recommend it.

The convent has one of the most beautiful courtyards in Bolivia but it is the roof which is really worth a visit partly for the roof itself and its somewhat strange construction you can walk over but mostly for the spectacular views. You can climb up into the bell tower to look out over the city to the mountains beyond.... More
