When we went, there were no tours in English. It was not until we were almost done browsing, trying to revive our Spanish, that we ran into people we had met in Potosi. They shared the fact that they were given a little tablet with the translations for each room. No one had mentioned this to us when we inquired... More

For me, this is the most interesting building in Sucre, where the declaration of independence was signed (copy on display). The English speaking tour guide that we had spoke English very fluently (not always the case at other tourist venues sadly) and we thoroughly enjoyed absorbing the history and touring this beautiful building.

This museum contains history about the liberation from the Spanish rulers and the creation of Bolivia. Unfortunately, and it's a big issue, they don't always have the guided tours in English as posted on the entrance, nor do they start according to the schedule. We went twice: on the first afternoon, they said the tour was going to start in... More

Gives a comprehensive overview about the history of Bolivia and the tour was very good. I liked that after the tour you have the chance to view everything by yourself one more time.

We got there around half 2 pm yesterday an half an hour later the tours started. First in Espanol then in English. It was very informative and interesting to get to know more about Bolivian fight for independence. The tour guides English was amazing.

Very informative English tour but beware that they require 10 people for the tour so you'll need to gather a group. Without the tour it would be a pretty pointless visit as there is no information in English. Our female guide was fantastic and very knowledgeable.

I went with a personal guide which was terrific (Jakku trekking as I wasn't actually well enough to trek and this was our alternative and would absolutely recommend these guys as well) and we could take as long as we liked through this museum. We were there for over 2.5 hours and in fact had to leave as they were... More

A not to miss attraction if you want to learn more about the history of Bolivia. However, it's only when you take one of the excellent guided tours that you will get the best out of your visit. The Spanish-language tours are the best, if your Spanish is up to scratch.
