The University of Michigan is a beautiful campus located in a lovely town roughly 45 miles from Detroit. It is wonderfully green. Some may forget that the sadly defunct Borders Book Store started on the edge of UM, founded by two of its students.

I am a retired Professor Emerita from the University of Michigan and live within walking distance of the Big House (Wolverine football stadium). I came to U of Michigan from Northwestern University not really aware of the high status of the U of M. At Northwestern one of the problems faculty wrestled with was the bad relationship between "town and... More

My 16 year old niece is considering attending the University. We took a campus orientation seminar and then roamed all 3 parts of campus. Lots to see and do. Museums, bars, restaurants, music venues, sports complexes, plus. Very impressive

I'm biased.....2 degrees (5 wonderful, life changing years) and married into a Wolverine family.....location Ann Arbor on campus...coming up from NC. Seriously, one of my favorite places in the World (especially on those special spring days). Grab a coffee to go or bubble tea and get lost...it won't disappoint.

Come early and park close by if you can. Most of the spots around the venue can be expensive, from $50-$100 but if you go out just a mile you can find cheaper parking for usually around $20. The food and drink prices are what you might expect from a stadium but being part of such a big crowd is... More

The University of Michigan central campus is beautiful and easy to navigate. During school session it congested with students and it is probably best to park at a city lot three or four blocks from campus. The surrounding town is very nice and pedestrian friendly. The campus is compact, the buildings and grounds very well kept despite it being home... More

Do not try to drive around the campus during lunch. The students have not yet learned how to properly use crosswalks nor can they tell the difference between a green and red light.

Oh What a Night Oh What a Game. We went to the final home game this year. We were able to get in some of the pregame activities and it even snowed. It was a win for MI and we had a Great Time. Just a short note this is something for all ages except it could be challenging for... More

What a stunning place to see. The buildings and green spaces are very pretty. I love going to the big house to see a game and enjoy the team spirit
