The W.K. Kellogg Bird Sanctuary was founded in 1927 and is an important stopover for migrating birds, especially waterfowl. The Sanctuary has 180 acres of trails, fields, forests, and lake habitat, and hosts many programs and events throughout the year. The W.K. Kellogg Bird Sanctuary’s mission is to conserve native habitat for migratory and resident birds and through research, education, and outreach help people gain environmental awareness about our past, present and future.

A great place to see wildlife especially birds. Adults and children can feed the wild birds with grain purchased there.

This was a very pleasant walk, we saw lots of swans, geese,Heron, ,ducks,birds, raptors,lots of blue jays, Cardinals. very easy walk, lots of trees, we heard a pileated woodpecker.There is an entrance fee

Recommended to bring stroller or Wagon for 5 or younger. Love the wood duck when we see him! Very peaceful and never too busy. Nice trails. Mosquitos can be pesky at certain times of the year.

I coordinated a a tour for a group of people (about 44) and everyone enjoyed it. Although it was a warm day the setting and the birds were wonderful. What a wonderful setting! One of western Michigan's jewels.
