The cathedral was nice but not much to see other than an altar and a few paintings and statues. The museum was okay, however the man at the desk was a little bit rude and forced us write down our ID numbers which felt uncomfortable. He also said we’re not allowed to take any pictures in the museum which sucked because there was a few interesting things in there. Inside the museum was mostly hand-sewn clothing, a lot of silverware, and a few paintings. There was also some gold items with precious stones. Overall, the museum was underwhelming and the entry fee was a little bit overpriced for what it was.

Apparently, this is the main Catholic church in the city. Constructed over a very long time it exemplifies several styles.

I enjoyed sitting down inside and just take in the serenity of this majestic creation with its beautiful altar. There were a lot of visitors, but they were respectful and silent.

Dirty, paint chipping on the walls inside, beautiful wood ceiling with areas that look like mold is setting in. One of the most unimpressive Spanish churches and central plazas I have ever been to.

Catedral de Santa Cruz or Basicilica menor of Saint Lorenzo, designed in 1845 and finshed en 1915. I offers city tours of the history of the city. +591 75303620

Church is pretty but it was constructed in the early 20th century. It is very pretty inside. If you are in the area, drop in, but it is not a destination.

I've done a lot of Latin American Cathedrals. This one is fairly new so not a lot of pictures of suffering saints.

Was kept waiting until 3.30pm before we were let in and in fifteen minutes had seen enough.

Has a tower you can go up for 3 BOB but not much to see.

Also recommend the few bolivars to go up the bell tower, especially right at dusk. Church is open to the public.

The cathedral looks great from every angle. The inside is nice, greatly decorated with paintings and a wooden ceiling. The highlight was the bell tower view over the city. It had several platforms on different hights. It was an easy walk up and cheap.

We enjoyed our time at the Cathedral. It’s just off the plaza and has some interesting artifacts and alters inside.
