I visited the plaza at midnight and there were still people walking around and chilling in the plaza talking to each other which I thought was great considering the time as it gave it a friendly environment. The plaza was clean and well looked after,...More

This place is about the mood more than the attractions. If you get there by 12:30PM everything slows down because Cruceños actually go home for lunch and the city center clears out. There is a colonial church and an Arts Center to visit but the...More

The Plaza in itself... well it's a nice town square indeed but nothing all too impressive. What gives this place the extra buzz is the people of course. Sit down on one of the benches with a good book and look up every now and...More

I was certainly expecting a lot less from Santa Cruz and was pleasantly surprised walking around town and discovering the square and cathedral while eating good ice cream. A few local arts and crafts stores is making it even more attractive if like us you...More

We were there when raining so it was not so cosy. Plaza is nice but we saw more beautifull plaza in Boliva. Around the plaza colonial buildings.

It's a great location to people watch and get a good feel for the locals. Safe location in the center of the city. If you have young kids you can buy bird food 3x5bs and feed all the pigeons that hang around the area.

Lovely place to sit and enjoy watching life go by. Sadly, during this time we observed a lady with a young girl in a wheelchair walk around for a least 4 hours asking for money.

Plaza 24 de Septiembre is right in the heart of old Santa Cruz. The benches are shaded by a canopy of trees and provide the perfect place to sit and observe daily life as it passes slowly before your eyes. Young lovers come here to...More

No, nothing guided, but for a few B's you can hop on any micro (shared taxi mini-buses) and take a spin. Just stick to the innermost two anillos.
