The CARACAL World of Wildlife offers an unique opportunity to get up close and personal with some of Botswana's lesser-known, less often encountered, and often poorly understood wildlife. Conservation education is at the heart of everything we do. Our collection is made up of a range of creatures that have been injured or orphaned, and although we do rehabilitate and release these animals, this is not always possible due to the severity of their injuries. We take this bad situation and try to get something positive out of it by providing a high quality of life and inducting these animals into our ambassador program. In this way, these animals become ambassadors for their respective species, offering not just the chance to encounter one of them, but also to learn all about their stories and the roles they fulfill in Botswana's vibrant ecosystems. Our collection includes Botswana's largest collection of endemic snakes, small mammals, raptors, owls, and a few endangered species too. Each year we host thousands of school children from across the country, thousands of foreign tourists, wildlife officers, policy-makers, officials, locals and others. Our offering is unique, informative, family friendly, affordable, and not to be missed.

I was disappointed at how little improvements that had been made since my last visit many years ago! That being said the children that we took thoroughly enjoyed the interactive tour that we took!!

My daughter loves snakes and a visit to cuddle a python is her best! As well as the snakes, Ethel the aardvark, the bush babies and the mongoose family are great to interact with. To learn about the animals and their habitats is also important...More

Here you have a chance to see animals that you would not normally see during a game drive. This centre is more for the education of those people who do not normally have the same access as tourists. Enjoy your time here with the hugely...More

We are really glad we made the effort to go out to the centre. It is a bit like a small zoo, but the animals are only there because they have been rescued either from accidents or from places where they are not wanted, such...More

Really good place for Adults and Kids to go and see and learn about animals in and around Botswana and Africa. Get an opportunity to hold a fully grown Python.... Really cool. Guides are well informed, intelligent and know what they are talking about.

This biodiversity centre is still a small setup in Kasane, nothing huge, but really worth the stop. We also heard from friends to check it out and we al loved it. The biodiversity centre has two major attractions and a baby baboon.. but I'm afraid...More

Hi there. When we first went to the place, we were told they would simply accept a donation and didn't specify an amount. The second time we visited, I can't quite remember the amount but think it was around 50P. However... More
