Pre Rup is a Hindu temple at Angkor, Cambodia, built as the state temple of Khmer king Rajendravarman and dedicated in 961 or early 962. It is a temple mountain of combined brick, laterite and sandstone construction. The Cambodians have always regarded this temple as having funerary associations but reason is unknown. The name Prerup recalls one of the rituals of... More

Exactly as it was intended, the scramble to the top of the temple is like climbing to the heavens. Once you have waited for a while to get THAT photo prepare yourself to do battle with the high steps - it's worth it though. You'll be rewarded with great views of the rest of the temple boundary, headless lions and... More

The place to spend sunset and chill out away from the crowds of Angkor Wat. Opens later so you wont be moved on my security just when the sun is at the perfect photogenic position.

I lost count of how many temple ruins that I have visited, but my legs tell me quite a few. This one was worth stopping by for about 1/2 hour for photo opportunities. It has some different colors to it and was not that crowded with other tourists. Enjoy.

Bring your good footwear for this temple to make sure you get to the top. The views from the top are worth the visit.

Pre Rup is a Hindu temple at Angkor, Cambodia, built as the state temple of Khmer king Rajendravarman. It would be nice to come here for sunset, if you have time and would like to see less crowds than at Angkor Wat.

Built to worship Shiva, this is one of the few Hindu temples in Siem Reap. However, we were disappointed that we didn't see any Shiva statue (probably stolen). We didn't find this temple to be exciting at all.

Great visit to this smaller Temple. The plaster carvings were great and I really enjoyed the Lions, as well as getting a good view from the top

An ancient temple . A lot of brickwork was used unlike the other temples. Not spectacular . Older than nearby temples .
