This was the perfect way to spend a chilled morning after a day of temple visits. After a short introduction we were straight on the pottery wheels (one each). For the 20 usd fee you got to make 5 pieces and get one fired (delivered to your hotel the next day). They fire extra ones for you for 5 usd... More

We have just got back from a brilliant pottery class and are absolutely buzzing as it was so much fun! The teachers are fantastic and so talented at what they do. A massive thank you for their patience and making our trip to Siem Reap one to remember! A must do when visiting Siem Reap!

We did the pottery class, it was all lead by deaf employers, making it a great experience. You get to make 5 different ceramic pieces and then you choose one to put in the oven and take home. This can take you between 1-2 hours. Its very professional and you get very good results, even if if you are a... More

This was a fun activity for young and old. The staff was very friendly and helpful. After a short demonstration, we all got to work and make our masterpieces. Admittedly, Thanks to a little help from the clay masters. The kids loved it.

1-2 hours spent at Khmer Ceramics costs $20 but gives you priceless treasures. You get to make 5 pieces on the potter's wheel, under the guidance of a teacher who is deaf (this is a skilled way for them to earn a living). (For kids they can find a hearing teacher.) You make a bowl, vase, and cup, and your... More

Wonderful experience! I went with my daughter (10 yrs old). We both learned a lot and had great fun. (Free tuk tuk back and forth to hotel plus delivery of items the following day.) Wear clothes you don't mind getting messy... they provide aprons, but throwing pots is a messy business... at least for the 2 of us! Interestingly, the... More

We signed up for this not knowing what to expect since none of us has tried pottery class before. We were given an apron, wet tissues, water bottle and assigned a working station and instructor to help shape our ceramics. They were very patient, instructive and helpful throughout the class. We learnt a lot from them despite the fact that... More

Taking a pottery class and learning to use a potter's wheel has been on my wish list for so long, and Khmer Ceramics was the BEST place to make my wish come true. The lesson is very clearly structured and easy to follow despite being unable to communicate verbally. My instructor was a lot of fun and she helped me... More

We did the pottery class with teenagers and all had a fun afternoon. The class was run by deaf artists but we had no problem understanding their instructions. Highly recommended.

Khmer ceramics can be found in two locations in Siem Reap. It exists to bring back an almost lost art form in fine ceramics, and to support deaf youth in the community. This business also runs two types of interactive courses for visitors - pottery and decorative painting of mounds. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her painting class and was especially... More
