Srah Srang is a reservoir (yes... not a temple nor a lake) located just across the road from the Banteay Kdei temple. It is apparently a good alternative spot for viewing the sunrise (apart from Angkor Wat). However, my visit here was in the afternoon,...More

The royal pool is close to East Mebon and Pre Rub. Across from the water on the temple side, there are a few restaurants. If one stops for lunch, one might as well check out the royal pool, where the king used to swim and...More

Very symbolic with the platform overlooking the wonderful lake and greenery surrounding the shore and paths that invite you to take a break, since this is not a large site. There is a general dichotomy that moves from a strong to tender attitude. The representation...More

This is a nice place but quickly done on your way from one temple to another. Nothing special. Maybe for sunrise but not during the day.

It is cruciform flanked by Naga which end with the upright head of a serpent, mounted by a Garuda with its wings unfurled. The steps that lead down to the water are flanked by two guardian lions.

We stopped here on our last day of Angkor Wat exploring to watch the sunset. It was nice & quiet, not too crowded like other sites and the reflection off the water was lovely. There were quite a few children here trying to sell you...More

This is the place where the king Jayavarman V used to take a bath with his wives. In fact, the name means royal bath. It has a platform with lions, nagas, and garudas. It is small platform and many people do not find it interesting....More

It's not that impressive, but definitely worth a small stop for photos. On a sunny day you get beautiful photos of the lake.

Srah Srang is the best view of point and everyone always want to visit there and sometimes they swim there also and it is so beautiful place for sunrise with mix of trees around the water and the water is clean.
