Spend a day with these guys after my TdP trip. Everything was great . Have few suggestions . Would be nice to know a little bit more about the penguins, maybe have a video running while on the way to the island it would be more informative . Overall trip was great did not expect to see so much wildlife... More

We went on the 4 hour penguin tour to see penguins. They delivered. Great boat, great trip, hassle free. Beautiful island. I wanted to see penguins, and they were everywhere! And we also took a bit more time to go see a beach covered with sea lions. You get off the boat for penguins, but not for sea lions. Great... More

Really thought twice about this trip when we noticed it was an 06.20 pick up time . We started at the travel agency then joined a small coach load of fellow travellers and set off to the landing stage about a 20 minute journey . We then boarded what could best be described as a North Sea survival vessel and... More

We emailed Solomon in advance and got a very speedy response from them with info about the trip and a booking form. We really enjoyed the trip...saw lots of penguins and sea lions and the island itself has a rugged beauty. Coffee and biscuits nice surprise when we got back on board. I would say it is a VERY big... Our family of five had wanted to head to Tierra Del Fuego to see King Penguins, but given the 12 hour trip to see them and cost, we opted for Isla Magdalena and Marta. It was fantastic and we saw one of the largest populations of Penguins in the world! 150,000 of them right there in front of you, nesting,... More

Let's be clear - the natural beauty of Isla Magdalena and penguins, sea lions and seals in the area is stunning and well worth seeing if visiting the region. Unfortunately however, this tour company charges high prices and provides comparatively little in return. We took the morning tour to visit Isla Magdalena and paid equivalent of £150 for the two... Ours was the first tour of the day, 1st week of the season the tour operates. I read the previous reviews of poor and terrible and see there were some who were nervous about the pier to board the boat with no support or handrail. We experienced the same but are 50-something year old explorers so we continued on. The... More

It's quite a lot of money, when you are a family of four to take a boat trip to the Magdelena and Marta Islands to see pinguins and sea lions But, if you go to the end of the world, this you have to do. Solo Expediciones clearly know what they are doing. They put safety first and the seem... More

We booked this trip directly with Solo Expediciones, one of two companies running trips to Isla Magdalena. The Solo Expediciones trips are conducted on small boats, that can hold approximately 20 people. While this allows you a wonderful time on the island with only very few other people, it also means that on the boat you become a plaything for... More

Visiting Isla Magdalena was one of the highlights of our trip. It was wonderful to see so many penguins in their native habitat doing what penguins do – waddling, relaxing in burrows, vocalizing in groups (one penguin would call and others in the vicinity would join in), feeding their young (older penguins regurgitated food for younger penguins), etc. The penguins...
