Very interesting

Lots of history here, especially with respect to early European settlers. The restored fort was pretty neat.

As history buffs we couldn't pass up the opportunity to visit this unique area. The museum with the small ship replicas lit against the glass background was stunning and more than enough information about this intrepid explorer. The lookouts were pleasant and peaceful but not magnificent. We enjoyed walking through the restored Fort Bulnes, the area's first settlement and the... More

Really enjoyed the park. The visitor center was very nice and had a great museum. I thought it was very educational. The fort was also very cool. But the highlight of the trip was definitely the coastal trail. There were great views and we saw some cool wildlife. We even saw sea lions playing in the kelp. If you have... More

Well worth the drive if not just for the scenery. The museum was a little disappointing being very dark with little information. The cafe was basic at best but did serve nice coffee ... shame as it could offer so much more.

We took an afternoon drive and were excited to discover this informative and significant destination. I learnt about the history of formation and discovery of The Strait of Magellan. Great facilities, very helpful staff, interpretive displays in Spanish and English, and a beautiful coastal walk.

The reconstruction takes you back 150 years to allow your imagination to run and grasp what life must have been at the fort. The walking tours are offered in Spanish several times per day and in English from time to time. Fear not English only speakers, the exhibits inside the buildings are in both languages. After the Fort, stop at... More

The park itself is really nice and make sure you walk around the coastal path. The landscape is just amazing. The fort Bulnes has great historical significance and the guided tour should not be missed.

I'm rating this Excellent even though as noted in other reviews the new museum and gift shop are not totally open. The park and fort are both worth the short drive out of Punta Arenas. If you want to get out of the city for one day this is a great choice.

We enjoyed a walk through the fort and around the point. Even saw a Chilean dolphin. The museum is new and very nice. Some of the exhibits had yet to be installed. They are I'm the process of building kiosks, etc, so getting in is a bit cumbersome.
