Visited SM Mall near xianyue lu on a crowded Saturday afternoon. It was huge with 2 different buildings. You can find cinemas, restaurants, cafes, retail shops, supermarket all within the mall which makes it easy to buy gifts for friends. ��I would say, this mall don't really leaves a good impression due to, not familiar with local branding; not doing shopping in Xiamen; was at the mall becos of Walmart at basement.. No 'wa' factors as most shops are old and not attractive, even to enter.. I would say, if you are staying nearby hotels such as Sheraton, yes maybe... More

This is the end SM. Nice place to walk and to window shop, unless you have a lot money and actually go shopping here. The designer brands are in this building. I heard from the locals that there is a big market for famous world brands, despite not having so much people in this wing, the people who shop here... More

As pointed out by another reviewer, there are two SM buildings. Visit both. I went with two of my local Chinese business degree students because I wanted to visit a Chinese WalMart. There is 2 parts to the SM plaza. SM 1 is the old wing that sells more local brands which is more affordable. There is a big wartmart at the basement. SM 2 is the new wing where they carry mostly foregin brands. Uni-glow, Zara, Levis, Muji is available. There is a burger King and a wide variety of food... More
